Free Summer Meals

This summer the district went forward with a “Plan B” by bringing on Micah Roseberry, the owner of Farmhouse Cafe and operator of Amigos Locale, to help serve farm-to-table meals to students participating in summer programs. Roseberry is a contractor with the district, and her meals will still be free for students and parents involved. Outside of summer programming, Roseberry and her team provide food for various after-school programs throughout the year.

“One of the reasons we work with Micah is because of her focus on healthy food for our students,” Taos school board president Mark Flores said. “She really strives to bring garden-grown [vegetables], grass-fed beef. She runs Farmhouse Cafe and also is part of our gardening programs within the schools. She’s always been a good partner with the school district in regards to providing food for the students.”
